Prioritising Education

Homes2Inspire have three dedicated Education Engagement Coordinators who are the link between the home, the local authority and the school. They advise on admissions, attend statutory meetings to advocate for our young people and provide career's advice across all homes.

Delivering Qualifications
As a registered Youth Awards Provider, we encourage all our young people to complete the Asdan Accredited Youth Achievement Awards. The awards range from Bronze to Platinum which upon completion, the young person will be credited UCAS points.
Assessing Development
We use the Boxall Profile to track the progress of cognitive development and behavioural traits of our young people. We work with local authorities and schools to identify and implement strategies for development and how we can best support them.

Homes2Inspire chosen to run Trevone House Semi-Independent facility for Gloucestershire County Council

Homes2Inspire have been successful in bidding to partner Gloucestershire County Council (GCC) for an exciting new facility to provide care and accommodation for vulnerable young people at Trevone House in Gloucester. Homes2inspire have been awarded the contract for 7 years at a value of over £13m.

The offer will include support services, as well as accommodation for 19 young people to have their own semi- independent flat. There will also be a well-being suite, which offers young people a place of safety and calm along with two specialist flats for young people needing additional support with their mental health needs.

The brand new development has been designed and developed with the needs of Gloucestershire’s young people at its heart. To do this effectively, the council has worked closely with two of its young ambassadors, who have experience of living in care.  The ambassadors were also involved in creating the brief for the rigorous tender process, which saw Homes2inspire secure the contract.

This first of it’s kind venture fits with GCC’s ‘Right Placement, First Time’ strategy and is another example of the innovative partnerships being developed for GCC and delivered by Homes2Inspire and the wider Shaw Trust Group.

Shaw Trust’s Chief Executive, Chris Luck CB MBE, said of Trevone House: “This innovative project provides the wraparound needed to give care leavers the very best stepping stone to a brighter future in addition to providing specialist support to those needing help at a time of crisis, including improving mental wellbeing.  This ground-breaking approach by Gloucestershire Children’s Services represents the very best in aspiration and practice.  Shaw Trust is proud to be Gloucestershire’s partner in creating and delivering a service to beneficiaries that reflects our values, goals and experience in delivering care to young people; Trevone House has all the hallmarks to be the national model.”
